Skin Boosters

Skin Boosters

At Eye and Face Clinic, Dr Janice Brady offers skin booster treatments — an injectable therapy designed to deeply hydrate the skin, improve texture and elasticity, and restore a healthy, luminous glow from within. If your skin has been looking dull, tired, or lacklustre, skin boosters could be the treatment for you.

Made from hyaluronic acid, skin boosters are formulated to hydrate and revitalise rather than add volume.

Unlike traditional fillers, skin boosters don’t fill lines or add structure. Instead, they improve the health of the skin itself, leaving it softer, smoother, more supple, and visibly more radiant.

At Eye and Face Clinic, we use three trusted, FDA-approved products — Profhilo, SkinVive™ by Juvederm, and Definisse Hydrobooster — chosen for their strong safety profiles and results.

What it treats / Common concerns

Skin boosters are suitable for all skin types and are particularly beneficial for:

How it Works

Treatment begins with a thorough consultation with Dr Brady, during which your skin is carefully assessed and the most suitable product selected for your needs. A topical numbing cream is applied beforehand to ensure your comfort throughout.

The treatment involves a series of small, precise microinjections administered across the treatment area. Appointments typically take around 30 minutes.

Most patients require an initial course of 2 to 3 treatments to achieve the best results, with the exact protocol depending on the product chosen. Many then return for a single maintenance treatment every 6 to 12 months to sustain results long term.

You may notice improved hydration and glow within the first few days, with results continuing to develop over the following weeks as the skin responds to treatment.

Our skin booster treatments

Profhilo

One of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid available, Profhilo spreads beneath the skin for exceptional hydration, stimulating four types of collagen and elastin to remodel and tighten from within. Results: firmer, smoother, more radiant skin. Treats face, neck, and décolletage, with specific products for the body. Course of two treatments, four weeks apart.

SkinVive™ by Juvederm

Injected in microdroplets to improve smoothness, hydration, and skin quality — especially suited to the cheeks. Clinically proven to improve hydration for up to six months after two treatments, leaving skin softer and more glowing.

Definesse Hydrobooster

Delivers deep, long-lasting hydration while improving firmness and elasticity, restoring the skin’s natural moisture balance and smoothing fine lines. Suitable for face, neck, décolletage, and hands. Course of 3 treatments recommended.

Risks & side effects

Skin booster treatments are minimally invasive with very little downtime. Some patients may experience mild redness, minor swelling, or small bumps at the injection sites immediately after treatment, but these typically resolve within 24 to 48 hours. Most patients feel comfortable returning to their normal activities the same day.

DAY 1–2

Small bumps, mild swelling, redness or bruising at injection sites, easing within 24–48 hours.

DAY 3–14

Bumps and swelling settle; skin feels smoother, plumper, more hydrated.

1 MONTH

Hydration, glow and texture improve as collagen and elastin build.

TREATMENT FREQUENCY

2–3 sessions, 2–4 weeks apart, then maintenance every 6–9 months.

How are skin boosters different from polynucleotides?

Both improve skin quality, but differently: skin boosters deliver deep hydration via hyaluronic acid, boosting moisture and radiance. Polynucleotides work at a cellular level, stimulating regeneration and rebuilding collagen and elastin over time.

The two complement each other and are often combined at Eye and Face Clinic. Dr Brady will advise which treatment, or combination, suits your skin and goals.

Aftercare & review

You’ll receive tailored aftercare guidance after treatment. A follow-up review is scheduled 2–4 weeks later, aligning with the next session in your course. Dr Brady assesses hydration, texture, and elasticity, checks for any residual bumps or concerns, and confirms whether to proceed or adjust the plan. Once the initial course is complete, a maintenance schedule (typically every 6–9 months) is set.
